I contacted ChapStick in May 2026 asking Is ChapStick Gluten Free and if they have any gluten ingredients in their products and I received the following response:
All Chapstick products are manufactured to meet requirements of the
consumer in that specific market and to meet those countries
regulations. ChapStick Products marketed in the United States have not
been tested directly for gluten but contains no grain derivatives.
While many finished products are tested for gluten, these products have
not been tested.
Kindly note that Chapstick is not able to make recommendations on use of
this product in patients with celiac disease, we would recommend you
seek the advice of your Pharmacist or Doctor on this point. Prior to
using a product, we recommend you always check
the list of ingredients printed on the pack and follow the instructions
available with the product. Applicable to all ChapStick variants
