Sevi Vegan Cosmetics are Gluten Free

To the best of our knowledge, our products are gluten free. We do
not use any Vitamin E in our products at this time (due to the fact that
we have not been able to get a straight answer from distributor about
the actual source of the Vitamin E). This is a fairly new issue (gluten free products) for us and love to find out more about it. So we are asking our customers to send us specific ingredient or ingredients to stay away from or look into, we would appreciate it.

Celiac disease is a genetic disorder that affects 1 in 133 Americans.
Individuals suffering from this disorder have an intolerance to the protein
gluten and must eliminate it from their diet.

In terms of beauty care, there is mixed literature on whether celiacs should use gluten free beauty products. Some celiacs find that when they use products containing gluten they have a skin irritation or may develop little bumps on the surface of their skin.

Monave Makeup is 95% Gluten Free

Today, I’m addressing a frequent question that we receive here at Monave: Is our makeup gluten-free? 95% of our skin care and makeup is gluten free with the exception of our Concealer Cream Foundation, Unscented Emollient, lip products, eyeliners and cream to powders.They currently have Vitamin E which was derived from wheat germ oil, but we are transitioning over to a new rice-based vitamin E starting July 2008. Lip products can be guaranteed gluten-free by request.

Recently it seems many women are inquiring on this issue and complaining of irritation to the skin after using their traditional make up.Topically gluten allergy can affect the skin as it is the largest organ and absorbs anything into your body’s system readily.

The owner, Deb is a Celiac and so is her mom, who was diagnosed very late into the disease, and has suffered greatly, so she is dedicated to transitioning over to a completely gluten-free line of makeup. We’re almost there, but we ask that our Celiac and gluten-free customers please let us know via email or via the comments section of their order that they need gluten-free makeup. All of our lip products are currently being manufactured without gluten, but we have some older products still in stock that are not gluten-free.
